What this site is

Lastname Domains is a free search and information service for personal and family name domains, plus an enquiry path for help with taken names. It is presented as a demo/opportunity project; see the opportunity page.

Availability data — the limits

Availability comes from public registry RDAP data — or, for endings without open registry data (marked “· DNS”), from global DNS lookups — at the moment of the check. Registries can rate-limit, censor, or err; DNS reflects delegation rather than registration itself; domains are registered continuously; and an "available" result is not a reservation or a warranty. Don't rely on a check without registering promptly at a registrar, and nothing here substitutes for trademark or legal advice on your right to use a name.

The Name Concierge

Concierge enquiries are free, non-binding conversations. Sending one does not create a client relationship, and no acquisition, price, or timeline is promised until separately agreed in writing. We may decline enquiries at our discretion.

Acceptable use

Please don't hammer the search (automated bulk querying stresses shared public registries), don't misrepresent ownership of names, and don't use the concierge to harass current domain holders.

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on availability data, missed registrations, or the content of third-party sites (registrars, marketplaces) linked from here.
